MR Chaise Lounge - Original Design

The MR Chaise, thought to be modern derivatives of 19th century rocking chairs, represents the earliest steel furniture designs by Mies van der Rohe.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s iconic MR Collection began in 1927 with two chairs submitted to the seminal Weissenhof exhibit in Stuttgart, Germany. Over the next five years he continued to add to the collection, including the MR Adjustable Chaise. Beautifully designed with a tubular steel frame that mimics the curves of the human body, this ergonomic seat is adjustable in height and angle.
